1. Position: Emergency Response Coordinator -1

Duty Station- Nuwakot, Nepal

General position Summary:  The Response Coordinator will offer technical assistance to the project, supporting the emergency response for the flooding in Rauswa, Nuwakot and Dhading and will collaborate closely with the implementing and technical partners, as well as the Financial Service Provider. The coordinator will also establish strong relationships with humanitarian actors, agencies active in the targeted municipality and districts, and government officials to ensure the quality of project interventions, focusing mainly on the timely completion of activities within the given timeframe, avoiding sporadic distribution of support, and providing comprehensive support to selected households to meet multiple needs.

Required Qualification and skills: Bachelor’s degree in development studies, environmental science, Social Science, or any other relevant fields with at least 5 years’ experience of humanitarian/emergency response, recovery and inclusion. The candidate should have experience in cash and voucher assistance, including knowledge of digital cash transfer options, as well as experience in partnerships and coordination with stakeholders at local and provincial levels. A strong understanding of humanitarian contexts, coordination systems, standards, principles, and accountability initiatives in Nepal is also required.
