Change Action Nepal (CAN) is a women-led, non-governmental, not-for-profit organization established in 2016 by a group of committed, enthusiastic, and energetic women with a shared vision for social change and justice. Registered with the District Administration Office, Lalitpur, and affiliated with the Social Welfare Council (SWC), CAN has been actively working to uplift and empower marginalized and vulnerable communities across Nepal particularly women and children.

With a rights-based and inclusive approach, CAN currently operates programs in six districts: Nuwakot, Sindhupalchowk, Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur & Makwanpur focusing on issues such as gender-based violence prevention, child protection, psychosocial support, access to justice, education, and peacebuilding. Our interventions are designed to enhance local leadership, strengthen community resilience, and create safe, inclusive environments for the most at-risk populations.

CAN is committed to principles of gender equality, intersectionality, transparency, and accountability, and works collaboratively with national and international partners to promote sustainable social transformation

To strengthen our growing team, we are seeking a qualified and motivated Education Project Officer.

Location: Change Action Nepal Office, Tikhidewal, Lalitpur with field visits

Minimum Qualification, Experience and required skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in education or equivalent. Preferably in experience in the field of school education or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
• Minimum 3-years work experience as a Program Officer in community development work, especially in education 
• Ability to write clearly and concisely in English and Nepali knowledge on local language will be assets
• Sound communication skills, managing work relationships (internal/external), coordination and networking.
• Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and skill of computer applications
