Educate The Children Nepal is a non-profit organization working with marginalized women and children in Nepal to improve the access to quality education, health, livelihoods and community self-reliance for quality of living since more than two decades. We are currently implementing the Integrated Community Development Program which mainly focus on children's education, women's empowerment and Agriculture Development in Ramdhuni Municipality of Sunsari District in partnership with Save The Earth Foundation International.
Position Title: Education Officer
Duty Station: Kathmandu, 40% and Program area Sunsari District, 60%
Reports To: Executive Director
Contract Type: Fixed-Term, Renewable
Required Number: 1

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, Plan, Implementation of education programs.
- Coordinate with schools, Government agencies, local authorities, and community stakeholders.
- Ensure program activities align with organizational goals and donor requirements.
- Prepare proposals, reports, documentation, and success stories for management and donors.
- Conduct/ organize school-based teachers training, workshop and other capacity building sessions for staff and teachers.
- Conduct field visits in a regular basis to monitor progress of the program and provide technical support to the concerns.
- Take initiative for data collection, analysis and evaluation of education programs.
Required Qualifications and Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree (Masters’ degree would be preferable) in Education, Social Sciences, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in education focused programs in NGO/INGO or development agencies. The knowledge of integrated community development approach would be added value.
- Adequate knowledge of national education Policies and Frameworks.
- Excellent communication, facilitation and report writing skills.
- Good command in coordination, linkages and networking with government agencies, local authorities and community stakeholders.
- Excellent language command in Nepali and English (speaking and writing) and, local language (would be added value).
- Proficiency in MS Office, Power point and data management tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Cultural sensitivity and ability to be a good team player and can work independently.
