We are seeking an experienced Deputy Director with a strong financial background, proven experience in liaising with government agencies, and a passion for team development to lead our finance and operations team.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Oversight: Oversee budgeting, financial planning, and reporting to ensure transparency and accountability.
- Government Liaison: Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with government agencies, ensuring compliance with local regulations and fostering collaborative relationships.
- Policy Development: Develop and implement financial policies and procedures in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Risk Management: Manage financial risk and ensure effective internal controls.
- Team Leadership: Collaborate with senior leadership to align financial strategies with organizational goals and provide mentorship to the finance and operations team.
- Project Oversight: Establish a supportive and empowering working environment for all project heads and oversee all charity programs for their smooth running.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in financial management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record in strategic financial planning and operations management with skills in effective human resource management.
- Experience in working with government agencies and understanding of local regulatory requirements.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with donor-funded projects and compliance requirements is a plus.
