Consultancy Services for preparing learning and knowledge documents
Introduction
People in Need (PIN) is a non-governmental, non-profit, international organization founded in the Czech Republic in 1992. PIN has been working in Nepal since April 2015, initially responding to the devastating earthquake and subsequently supporting recovery, reconstruction, resilience, and education programming. PIN Nepal works with a strong focus on the needs of vulnerable populations, including people living in geographically remote areas, historically marginalized ethnic groups, and individuals marginalized due to age, gender, or disability. PIN Nepal is strongly committed to the safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults, in line with its Safeguarding Framework and Child Protection Policy.
Currently, PIN Nepal is implementing the Pratibaddha-III Project, funded by the European Union Commission for Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection (ECHO). The project aims to enhance early action and forecast-based planning in six palikas across Pyuthan, Jajarkot, and Bajhang districts (two palikas in each district). The overall objective of the project is to save lives, protect property, and safeguard livelihoods from recurring hazards such as landslides, flash floods, fire, and earthquakes.
