Vacancy: Communications Officer

Ullens School Kathmandu is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Communications Officer to join our team. The candidate must have a strong academic background in Journalism or Mass Communication, along with excellent command of both English and Nepali languages.

Ullens School Kathmandu is the second unit of Ullens Education Foundation. It is located in Bansbari, Kathmandu. Inspired by the progressive philosophy of New York’s Bank Street School of Education, Ullens School Kathmandu emphasizes hands-on, experiential learning that nurtures the whole child—intellectually, emotionally, and socially. The school follows the national curriculum of Nepal from Grades One to Ten, enriched by the distinctive Ullens Approach to teaching and learning. With a vision to become a global center of academic excellence, Ullens School Kathmandu is committed to fostering social responsibility, intellectual curiosity, and international-mindedness in a respectful and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft and produce the school newsletter.
• Handle all external communications on behalf of the school.
• Maintain and regularly update the school’s website and social media platforms.
• Archive written and visual documentation of school activities.
• Assist in developing and implementing effective communication strategies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, or a related field.
• Problem-solving skills with a passion for education.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, forward-thinking academic environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Nepali.
