PROJECT OVERVIEW
CECI manages a 36-month regional initiative in Nepal and the Philippines, titled "Strengthening Civil Society for Inclusive Democracy and Human Rights" or the SAMA-SAMA project, funded by Global Affairs Canada (GAC). This initiative is implemented in 13 local governments (LGs) in the Madhesh and Lumbini provinces of Nepal. Therefore, CECI Nepal seeks a qualified Communication Consultant to join our team to enhance the overall communication efficiency of the Nepal office and its project initiatives.
TERMS OF REFERENCE
The consultant will close collaboration with CECI Nepal, the SAMA-SAMA Project team, and partners in Nepal. Under a retainer contract, she/he shall provide a range of branding and communications services, including leading the design of communication efforts and ensuring that the project’s achievements, messages, and advocacy campaigns reach the appropriate audience in a clear, engaging manner.
Qualifications and Experience: 7-10 years of professional experience in an equivalent position, high level of proficiency in Nepali and English, both oral and written, a bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, or a related field, along with strong writing, speaking, and editing skills, ability to develop clear messaging, manage media relations, and handle both internal and external communication strategies, experience in communications, content creation preferred, along with familiarity with digital platforms and social media, support the design and implementation of Behaviour Change Communication (BCC) strategies and materials to promote social norms, attitudes, and behaviors aligned with the project objectives. strong interpersonal skills, creativity, and the ability to work under pressure.
