KIRDARC Nepal is implementing the “Building Resilient Communities in Himalayan Region of Karnali Province” Program in Sarkegadh Rural Municipality Humla in partnership with Mission East. Therefore, KIRDARC Nepal is expecting the job applications from suitable qualified, dynamic and motivated candidates to fulfill the following vacant positon.
Position Description: Climate Change Officer, 1 Person (Based in Sarkegad RM, Humla)
Academic Qualification and Experience: The candidate should hold a bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Climate Change, Natural Resource Management, Forestry, Agriculture, Development Studies, or a related field, with a minimum of three years of proven experience in designing, managing, and implementing climate change adaptation and/or mitigation projects, preferably in an NGO setting, and at least two years of work experience in remote areas.
Key Skills and Knowledge required: The candidate should have strong skills in social mobilization and experience in the implementation of development projects, particularly in conducting climate vulnerability assessments and applying tools for climate risk management. The candidate should also have practical experience working with local communities and local governments on climate-related issues.
