Call for Expression of interest (EOI) to conduct baseline assessment

International Alert invites expression of interest from interested and qualified individual expert to carry out the baseline assessment of one of its projects that aim to increase media freedoms, freedom of expression and a more professional and accountable media for the protection and promotion of human rights, democracy and peace in Nepal. The expert should have following qualifications and experiences:

  • Master’s Degree in Mass communication, Law or Human Rights or equivalent in a relevant field. 
  • At least seven years of relevant professional experience working in media, freedom of expression, human rights and peacebuilding.
  • Proven experience of conducting baseline and endline assessment, monitoring and evaluation and research on any relevant areas such as socio-economic, access to justice, human rights, media, freedom of expression, gender and social inclusion issues.
  • Proven experience in writing, drafting and editing evaluation report, research papers, briefing papers and analytical papers on the issue of socio-economic, justice, TJ, human rights, gender and inclusion.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English and Nepali.
