About Support Nepal

Support Nepal (SNP) is a not-for-profit, non-governmental organisation working strategically to address the injustice and inequality being faced by poor and marginalised groups since 1996. Development of training, networking, models of effective development practice, research and influencing policy have been the focus of our work. The increasing focus of SNP has been on providing support to communities and to develop processes that promote the inclusion of the poor and marginalised groups.

Purpose of this Call

SNP invites experienced and qualified Nepali professionals, organisations and firms to join a roster of thematic experts. This roster will be used to identify and mobilise expert services on an as-needed basis. Successful applicants will be included in the roster and contacted when a relevant consultancy opportunity arises, subject to matching of skills, experience, qualifications and availability.

Inclusion in the roster does not constitute a formal commitment or obligation of service by either party.

Thematic Areas

SNP seeks expertise across the following thematic areas. Applicants may apply for one or more areas.

  • Capacity building and development
  • Gender equality and social inclusion
  • Gender-based violence prevention and responsive grievance mechanisms 
  • Human rights-based approach to community empowerment
  • Inclusive governance
  • Media advocacy
  • Non-violence communication and action
  • Peace building and conflict transformation
  • Policy research 
  • Program monitoring and evaluation
  • Institutional strengthening of community-based organizations

What We Are Looking For

Thematic experts and consulting organisations/firms on the roster will be expected to:

  • Provide technical guidance and support in designing, delivering and reporting on short- and long-term assignments.
  • Work collaboratively with SNP and its programme partners.
  • Adhere to SNP's safeguarding, do-no-harm and inclusion standards.

Selection Process

SNP will review all applications and select candidates based on demonstrated technical expertise, relevance of experience and quality of sample work. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted and included in the roster. SNP reserves the right to include or exclude any application at its discretion.
