Call for Consultants: Expert Roster Registration

Samvaad Nepal is inviting applications from qualified consultants to join our expert roster for upcoming assignments with development agencies, NGOs, INGOs, donor-funded projects, private foundations, and public-sector partners.

We work across research, strategy, communication, capacity building, program design, knowledge management, facilitation, and implementation support. As our portfolio expands, we are building a diverse roster of thematic and technical experts at different levels.

Thematic Areas

We are seeking consultants with expertise in one or more of the following areas:

Climate Change, DRR and Resilience

• Climate adaptation, disaster risk reduction, anticipatory action, early warning systems, community resilience, nature-based solutions, climate-smart livelihoods, and locally led adaptation.

GESI, Safeguarding and Inclusion

• Gender equality, social inclusion, disability inclusion, LGBTQI+ inclusion, safeguarding, protection, GBV, TFGBV, child protection, and inclusive leadership.

Health and MHPSS

• Public health, mental health and psychosocial support, health systems strengthening, community health, SRHR, nutrition, WASH, and health communication.

Education and Skills Development

• Non-formal education, digital learning, curriculum design, training manuals, literacy, life skills, youth engagement, and education system strengthening.

Migration, Labour and Livelihoods

• Safe migration, labour rights, remittance, financial literacy, enterprise development, employment, social protection, and economic empowerment.

Research, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning

• Qualitative and quantitative research, baseline/endline studies, KIIs, FGDs, survey design, data analysis, evaluation, learning documentation, and impact assessment.

Strategic Communication and SBC

• Communication strategy, behaviour change communication, campaign design, content development, storytelling, media engagement, digital engagement, and community outreach.

Governance and Local Systems

• Federalism, local government strengthening, policy advocacy, public service delivery, citizen engagement, accountability, and institutional capacity building.

Training, Facilitation and Capacity Building

• Workshop facilitation, ToT design and delivery, participatory tools, community engagement, leadership development, and organizational capacity strengthening.

Consultant Levels

• We welcome applications from consultants at different levels:

Senior Experts

• Professionals with strong technical expertise, leadership experience, and a proven track record of leading assignments, studies, strategies, or capacity-building processes.

Mid-Level Consultants

• Professionals with practical experience in program implementation, research, documentation, facilitation, coordination, or technical support.

Junior Consultants / Research Assistants

• Early-career professionals with field experience, data collection skills, translation/transcription experience, documentation skills, or interest in development-sector work.

Possible Assignments

Consultants may be engaged for short-term or project-based assignments, including:

• Research design and fieldwork
• FGDs, KIIs, surveys and data collection
• Training manual and toolkit development
• Facilitation of workshops, consultations and ToTs
• Strategy, policy and program design support
• Report writing, analysis and documentation
• Communication materials and knowledge products
• Community engagement and outreach
• Monitoring, evaluation and learning assignments
• Technical advisory support

Eligibility

Applicants should have relevant academic background and/or professional experience in their area of expertise. Prior experience working with development agencies, NGOs, INGOs, donor-funded projects, government stakeholders, or community-based organizations will be an advantage.

Consultants based in Nepal, including those with provincial and local-level experience, are strongly encouraged to apply.
