Karyantra Hive is expanding nationwide and is hiring Business Development Officers in:

Kathmandu, Pokhara, Bharatpur (Chitwan), Biratnagar, Birgunj, Butwal/Bhairahawa (Siddharthanagar), Itahari / Dharan, Nepalgunj, Hetauda, Dhangadhi (Kailali)

Job Summary

The Business Development Officer (BDO) will play a key role in acquiring service providers, freelancers, and small businesses for the Karyantra Hive platform.
This role involves a combination of field visits, market research, client onboarding, subscription promotion, and collaboration with the operations team to ensure high-quality service provider listings.

BDO must be comfortable communicating with diverse service professionals and working toward clear monthly targets.


Detailed Key Responsibilities

1. Vendor Acquisition & Onboarding

Identify and approach freelancers, SMEs, and service professionals relevant to Karyantra.

Explain platform benefits, subscription plans, and onboarding procedures.

Assist vendors with completing digital forms and submitting required KYC documents.

Ensure service categories and listings meet quality standards.

2. Field Sales & Market Outreach

Conduct daily field visits in assigned areas.

Map local markets to identify potential vendor clusters (e.g., electricians, plumbers, beauty services, tutors, technicians, event services, etc.).

Build relationships with community groups, associations, and institutions.

3. Subscription Promotion

Promote subscription packages.

Achieve individual sales & onboarding targets set by the company.

Provide follow-up reminders for activation and renewals.

4. Reporting & Documentation

Maintain daily log of visits, calls, leads, and conversions.

Submit weekly and monthly performance reports to the Operations/BD Manager.

Record accurate data in tracker sheets and internal systems.

5. Coordination & Support

Coordinate with the KYC Verification Officer to complete vendor verification.

Assist vendors with service listing improvements when needed.

Work closely with the operations team to resolve vendor queries.

6. Branding & Awareness

Represent Karyantra Hive in the local market with professionalism.

Support small promotional activities (posters, local outreach, meetups).


Required Skills & Qualifications


Minimum 1 year of experience in Business Development, Sales, Field Marketing, or a similar role.

Bachelor’s running or completed in management.

Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Comfortable conducting field visits regularly.

Ability to meet targets and work independently with minimal supervision.

Basic computer and smartphone proficiency (Google Forms, WhatsApp, calls, etc.).

Good understanding of local markets and service provider networks.

High level of integrity, discipline, and accountability.
