The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee, tea, and other beverages while providing excellent customer service. The role involves operating coffee machines, maintaining beverage quality, ensuring cleanliness, and delivering a positive customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

A. Beverage Preparation

1.      Prepare and serve espresso, cappuccino, latte, Americano, mocha, and other hot and cold beverages.

2.      Operate espresso machines, coffee grinders, and other beverage preparation equipment.

3.      Follow standard recipes and beverage preparation procedures.

4.      Maintain consistency in beverage taste, quality, temperature, and presentation.

5.      Prepare basic latte art and maintain proper milk steaming techniques.

6.      Understand different coffee beans, brewing methods, and beverage ingredients.

B. Customer Service

1.      Welcome customers and provide friendly and professional service.

2.      Take customer orders and ensure accurate order processing.

3.      Recommend coffee, beverages, and menu items based on customer preferences.

4.      Handle customer feedback and complaints professionally.

5.      Maintain a welcoming and pleasant cafe environment.

C. Hygiene & Cleanliness

1.      Maintain cleanliness of the coffee station and work area.

2.      Clean coffee machines, grinders, and other equipment regularly.

3.      Follow food safety, sanitation, and personal hygiene standards.

4.      Ensure proper storage and handling of milk, coffee beans, and other ingredients.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Previous experience as a Barista preferred.

• Barista training or certification is an advantage.

• Basic knowledge of espresso preparation and coffee brewing techniques.

• Knowledge of milk steaming and basic latte art.

• Good customer service and communication skills.

• Basic knowledge of POS systems and cash handling.

• Ability to work under pressure and flexible shifts.

• Positive attitude, teamwork, and attention to detail.
