Position Summary

Universal Tours and Travels Pvt. Ltd. (UTT) Nepal is a legal enterprise that primarily operates an airlines representative office in the capacity of a General Sales Agent (GSA). UTT is looking to hire a This hybrid role provides 50% Reservations Support and 50% Sales & Market Engagement for Korean Air in Nepal. The Executive will ensure smooth reservation and ticketing operations at the counter while also driving Korean Air’s commercial presence in the Nepal market through trade engagement, sales visits, and promotional activities.

Key Responsibilities (50% Reservations & Ticketing)

Reservations & Customer Service

  • Handle incoming calls, emails, and walk-in passenger queries regarding Korean Air flights, schedules, fares, and policies.

  • Make and manage bookings in the airline’s reservation system.

  • Issue, reissue, void, and refund tickets strictly following Korean Air and IATA rules.

  • Provide fare quotes, seat availability, baggage rules, and route information to travel agents and passengers.

  • Assist with special service requests (SSR) such as meal preferences, wheelchair support, infants, unaccompanied minors, etc.

  • Support group booking requests and coordinate with Korean Air regional office for approvals.

  • Maintain accurate booking records and ensure all passenger information is handled professionally.

Operations Coordination

  • Liaise with Korean Air airport team and regional office on schedule changes, no-show reports, flight status, and manifest updates.

  • Prepare daily/weekly booking summaries and revenue reports as required.

Key Responsibilities (50% Sales, Trade Relations & Market Promotion)

Sales & Trade Engagement

  • Conduct regular sales visits to travel agents and corporate clients to promote Korean Air routes, fares, and products.

  • Manage relationships with key trade partners and strengthen Korean Air’s brand presence in Nepal.

  • Identify and develop new market segments to drive revenue growth.

  • Conduct joint sales and marketing activities with the airline’s regional office.

  • Prepare and execute Account Development Plans (ADPs) for assigned trade partners.

Market Intelligence & Reporting

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, fare movements, and customer feedback.

  • Prepare sales reports, market intelligence briefs, and performance analyses.

Marketing & Representation

  • Support tactical sales campaigns, fare promotions, and travel trade activations.

  • Represent Korean Air at trade fairs, events, familiarization trips (FAMs), and promotional activities.

  • Coordinate with internal UTT teams (marketing, operations, finance) to support campaign and partner needs.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (Travel, Tourism, Business, or related field preferred).

  • 2–3 years of experience in airline reservations, ticketing, or travel trade sales.

  • GDS knowledge (Amadeus/Galileo/Sabre) required or strong willingness to learn.

  • Strong communication skills (spoken & written English; Nepali required).

  • Good computer skills (MS Office — Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

  • Driving license (two-wheeler) preferred for sales visits.
