Otermans Institute (OI) upskills some of the more underserved and unserved learners in ten+ countries globally including Iraq, Nepal, Lebanon, and India. Through our training, we are supporting learners who are forced out of school due to the pandemic, those who are in extremely remote locations, and those who have been affected by violence and war-like refugees in United Nations camps. We often work closely with governments including in the UK, NGOs and UN bodies to help upskill such learners and help them become more employable. Through our work, we have impacted 45,000+ learners just in the past two years.

OI’s main focus is on AI products that can change the world. OIAI is our version of a digital human teacher that can upskill the next generation and help scale the number of people we upskill globally from the tens of thousands to the tens of millions.

Role description

Junior ML/DL engineer working towards long-term senior position, focused on development of cutting edge conversational AI models and digital humans.

Key skills:

• Hands-on experience with ML frameworks, such as PyTorch, Tensorflow, or similar
• Familiar with MLOps platforms and/or ML CI/CD workflows to manage datasets and model training, deployment, and monitoring
• Ability to find unique datasets and some understanding of Large Language Models
• Experience with cloud compute environments such as AWS, GCP
• Opportunity to work with a United Kingdom based company
