Admin and Finance Assistant (AFA)
RHEST is dedicated to ending all forms of violence against women, including human trafficking, child marriage, and child labor. Currently, RHEST is supporting the formal education of more than 12,500 vulnerable girls in the rural communities in 18 districts of Nepal. Women and girls’ empowerment and reproductive health are other focused areas of RHEST’s programs.
RHEST is looking for qualified candidates for the post of Admin and Finance Assistant (AFA) for its District Office, Sindhupalchowk.
Duration of Assignment: One year with possible extension
Duty Station: RHEST's District office (REJIKA) in Bahunepati, Melamchi, Sindhupalchowk with occasionally visits to coverage areas across Sindhupalchowk district.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely collection of the invoices and monthly routine bills from vendors and process for payment after review in support with finance and admin officer.
- Assist in raising vouchers, prepare cheques and process payments in accordance with the standard practice including ensuring and monitoring proper authorization and approvals of each documents generated.
- Assist in maintaining hard copies of documents and electronic filing system.
- Assist to ensure adequate safety and security requirements are in place in the organization.
- Assist to prepare and process for settlement of office utility expenses such as water, electricity, kitchen supplies, and office supplies and so on.
- Assist to procure office goods, equipment, stationery, materials, and others required for projects, and update the suppliers’/service providers’ roasters annually.
- Assist to implement FIFO method for inventory management in the ware house and ensure adequate safety and security requirements are in place in the organization.
- Assist to prepare and process for settlement of office utility expenses such as water, electricity, kitchen supplies, and office supplies and so on.
- Take other tasks as asked by supervisor.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience for Certificate and 1 year for Bachelor
- Knowledge and practical skills on administrative and logistics functions.
- Strong knowledge and practical skills on different forms and formats, use in procurement system. Experience on FAMAS Software preferred
- Knowledge on Tax and VAT requirements and accounting system.
- Demonstrable written and spoken skills in the Nepali language. Good English written and spoken skills are desirable.
- Strong practical knowledge of MS Word, MS Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Email/Internet.
- Must possess a valid two-wheeler driving license.
Salary and benefits: As per the rules and regulations of the organization (Not less than 22K in Gross)
