Norbusum Foundation is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Accountant to join our dedicated team. We are a non-profit organization committed to making a positive impact in the community. If you have 1-2 years of experience in non-profit accounting and a passion for our mission, we encourage you to apply. We offer following to ensure your well-being and comfort: covered travel to and from your workstation, fully covered food and accommodation at the work station, as well as enrollment in  social security fund for long-term financial security

 

Position: Accountant

Experience Level: 1-2 years in non-profit accounting

Salary: Rs 32,000/- per month (negotiable based on experience)

Workstation: 8 months in mustang 4 months  in Kathmandu or work from home 


Responsibilities:

·        - Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

·        - Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including recording and reconciling invoices, payments, and donations.

·        - Prepare and submit financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, on a regular basis.

·        - Assist in budget preparation and monitoring, providing support in analyzing and tracking expenses against budgeted amounts.

·       -  Conduct periodic audits of financial transactions to identify discrepancies and ensure proper documentation.

·       - Assist with payroll processing and ensure accurate recording of employee compensation and benefits.

·       -  Collaborate with other departments to provide financial information and support for program evaluations and decision-making processes.

·       - Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and industry best practices.

·       -  Ensure compliance of Company policies and Procedures.

- Timely deposit of TDS and SSF contribution of employees.  

- Maintain robust internal control measures to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information and mitigate risks within the organization.


Qualifications:

·         - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.

·         - 1-2 years of experience in non-profit accounting.

·        -  Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and Nepali Accounting Standard for NPOs

·         - Proficiency in accounting software: Saralbooks and Microsoft Word and Excel.

·         - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

·         - Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.

·         - Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

·        -  Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

·        -  Possession of a valid 2-wheeler's license for local commute.
