Staff Nurse, Accountant and Trainee ANM

PHASE Nepal is a not for profit NGO established in 2006 by a group of development professionals dedicated to supporting poor communities in remote areas of Nepal. For the last 11 years PHASE Nepal has been implementing Health, Education and Livelihoods improvement programmes in Humla, Bajura, Mugu, Gorkha and Sindhupalchok districts.  Currently, PHASE Nepal's projects on health, education, livelihoods and reconstruction are funded by number of institutional and individual donors from different countries. PHASE has over 110 staff working for different projects.

PHASE Nepal is currently looking for suitable candidates for following positions to work in its various projects:

Position: Staff Nurse  (initially for 12 months with possibility of extension)

Duty Station:  Project area based in one of the government health posts in Gorkha, Sindhupalchok, Humla, Bajura or Mugu districts or one of the government health clinics in Kathmandu district.

Qualifications: Staff nurse course passed.

Experience: Minimum 2 years of work experience in clinical setting, seeing patients, providing nursing care, providing safer mother hood cares, delivery services, new born care, HMIS recording, reporting and documentation. Candidates who have worked with the government hospitals, PHC or health posts, have received SBA training and having good computer skill will be given priority.

Basic Salary and Benefits: NPR 30,000 - 35,000 per month (basic starting salary scale) plus 10% provident fund after three months of probation period, one month’s salary as festival bonus after working for a year plus medical facility and insurance. Staff also get food and remoteness allowances based on the district they are posted (remoter the district higher the amount).

Responsibilities: The Staff Nurse will work together with the government health workers in the respective health posts or health clinics. This will involve both curative as well as preventive health services. They will provide health education sessions to the beneficiaries of the catchment area of the health post / clinic.

Position: Accountant

Duty Station:  Kathmandu

Qualification and Experiences: Bachelor's degree in Management with minimum 2 years of substantial experience in NGO/INGOs. Should have ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written English and Nepali language. S/he must have excellent computer knowledge (Office packages). Candidates having knowledge of accounting software FAMAS will be given high preference.

Job Description:

The Accountant will report to the Finance Manager and will be responsible for recording and reporting financial transaction with ensuring financial compliance with organizational policies and donor requirements. Monitoring and managing day to day banking and accounting activities for efficient, accurate and timely release of the accounts and financial reports.

Salary: NPR. 30,000 – 35,000 /- per month

Position: Trainee ANM

Duty Station: PHASE Project Districts

Required Number: Few

Salary: NPR. 10,000 -20,000 /- per month

Qualification and Experience: Should have passed ANM course
