Business Development Officer
Eco Concern Pvt. Ltd. (www.ecoconcern.com.np) is a social enterprise dedicated to serving local communities with safe water, sustainable sanitation and healthy environment. We are a strategic business partner of Environment and Public Health Organization (ENPHO, www.enpho.org). Currently we provide: i) Quality laboratory services for microbial, chemical and physical analysis of water, waste - water, soil, food, air) ii) Innovative water treatment and sanitation related products and field test kits iii) Consultancy for designing and installation and long term operation and maintenance services for innovative, eco-friendly and affordable solutions related to water and sanitation iv) Trade, including import and export, of innovative WASH technology and products.

Job Title: Business Development Officer
Reports to: Managing Director
Job Description
- To identify business opportunities and develop business plans for potential WASH products and services.
- To conduct business landscape analysis in the WASH sector to develop long term partnership with potential organizations.
- To manage the NGO Ecopreneur Partnership (NEP) project in an effective and efficient manner in order to:
a. Develop and strengthen NGP-business partnership for effective delivery of WASH goods and services at local levels.
b. Develop and implement a strategy for improving production and marketing of household water treatment technologies (colloidal silver filter and biosand filters).
c. Develop viable partnerships with local and national financial institutions to support local WASH business initiatives.
Qualifications required
- Bachelor in Business Management or similar subject
- Minimum 3 years of active engagement in the business sector
- Proven interest and performance (result oriented) in business development
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and to meet challenging targets
- Excellent interpersonal and people-management skills
- Good organizational skills
- Effective and efficient communication skills
- Willingness to travel in remote area
- Regular user of Microsoft Office applications
