Senior Micro Finance Expert

PlaNet Finance (www.planetfinance.org) is a leading international organization whose mission is to enable social change through financial inclusion and entrepreneurship solutions. PlaNet Finance has been registered as an INGO in Nepal since 2005 and has been delivering programs on its fields of expertise: Financial inclusion/microfinance, Entrepreneurship & Skills development, and Sustainable Business innovations.

PlaNet Finance Nepal is looking for a Senior Micro Finance Expert (1 year full time contract; renewable).

The expert will be responsible for the following:

• Providing technical assistance and training for PlaNet Finance programs related to Microfinance in Nepal and in the region
• Managing, monitoring and reporting for PlaNet Finance Technical Assistance programs in Nepal 
• Coordinating partners and managing program implemented by PlaNet Finance Nepal in Ilam district
• Supporting the development of PlaNet Finance activities in Nepal, by identifying potential projects and partners, preparing proposals

Skills and Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Management or any other relevant disciplines
• At least 8 years of working experiences as a Micro Finance practitioner or manager in Nepal
• Practical experience and proven track record in organizing and delivering professional microfinance training programmers and development of curricula and training materials
• Good interpersonal skills and team player
• Good report writing skills
• Experience in INGOs is preferable

Duty Station: Kathmandu with frequent field visits in the districts, travels in Asia when necessary
