Programme Officer

Mercy Corps Nepal works to build the absorptive, adaptive and transformative potential of vulnerable individuals and communities across Nepal.  Mercy Corps began operations in Nepal in 2005, and since then has implemented projects in the sectors of economic and food security; climate, natural resource and disaster risk management; and youth engagement; with the inclusion of women and disadvantaged groups as important cross-cutting themes throughout each intervention area.

Mercy Corps Nepal invites applications from interested candidates for the following position under the Youth Engagement Programme;

Job Position: Programme Officer

Requirements:

Bachelor degree in Social Science, Management or Development studies or similar, with a minimum three years’ experience in community-based and Youth Development programs.

Responsibilities:

The Program Officer will be responsible for implementation and supervision of Youth Engagement Program. The Officer will lead the capacity building, documentation and M&E activities

This is a Kathmandu-based short-term (possible extension for 2 years) position requiring frequent travel to project districts. Extension of the service will depend upon availability of funding and satisfactory performance.
