Action Nepal partnership with OXFAM is seeking dynamic energetic and result oriented professionals for the following positions to intervene WaSH, SHELTER, EFSVL,DRR and GENDER Project in 2 VDCs (Satyadevi and Tripureswor) of Dhading district.

MEAL Officer:

Duration :6 months (renweable)

Job Location:Dhadingbensi with regular field to programme VDCs

Reports to: Project Coordinator

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Reporting to the PC/Program Management Unit, the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Officer will be primarily responsible for monitoring and evaluation, strengthening program quality and accountability, promoting learning and reporting of WaSH, Gender, Shelter, Livelihood and DRR programmes.
  • Participate in processes of review and/or development of M & E systems and tools.
  • Collect quantitative and qualitative project progress data on output/results indicators as defined in the project agreements and store them with relevant supporting documents in coordination with Programme team
  • Based on monitoring results, prepare synopsis/reports on project progress and submit to PC/Management units and discuss them in the meeting or individually to address issues and challenges of MEAL.
  • Provide feedback to project management and track necessary changes in strategies, approaches, and activities by the respective program sectors.
  • Ensure timely documentation, publication and sharing of lessons learned and successful approaches adopted by the program with various stakeholders.
  • Compare project progress with the combined work, procurement, and spending plans and communicate the results to program sectors.
  • Contribute to M&E plan/strategy development.
  • Capacity building of program staff on Monitoring and Evaluation as well as Accountability.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:  

Professional skills and qualification needed in the position 

  • Master degree in Social Development or relevant degree with 2 years of experience
  • Experience of working in Humanitarian response programme will be a asset 
  • Tactfulness and excellent interpersonal skills 
  • Good communication skills both in English and Nepali
  • Excellent computer operating skills preferably in MS-word, excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability and willingness to work in team and to work under pressure and in remote/difficult circumstances
