Expression of Interest

CALL FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

This invitation for expression of interest is called to invite applications from interested, eligible and experienced national NGOs to efficiently deliver programming in the following areas: 

1. Health sector infrastructure and activities in Dolakha District. Summary of the scope of work: 

• Reconstruction of damaged health posts using prefabricated materials
• Monitoring & supervision of civil works as per Standard Guidelines for Post Disaster Reconstruction of Health Buildings
• Health systems strengthening activities, e.g. HMIS, improving human resources and referral capacity in health care, quality of care monitoring and supply chain management

2. Integrated WASH-DRR activities in Sindhupalchok District.  Summary of the scope of work: 

• Capacity building of local DRR bodies
• Conduct vulnerability capacity assessment and multi hazard risk mapping 
• Prepare DRR strategy at VDC level
• Construction and maintenance of WASH infrastructure
• Hygiene promotion activities bodies

Any interested organizations submitting an expression of interest:

• Should have at least two (2) years proven experience in managing and implementing similar programs in the target district.
• Should be registered according to prevailing laws and regulations of Government of Nepal and Social Welfare Council (SWC), must have a PAN Number, conduct yearly financial audits, timely renewal of the registration and tax exemption certificate (please, provide copies of relevant documents with your Expression of Interest).
• Should have qualified staff with relevant experience in the program areas (CVs of key staff should be submitted with the EOI)
• Should be ready to run baseline assessment in coordination with Johanniter
• Should be prepared to submit detailed project proposals and budget

Priority will be given to locally run organizations registered in the target district that have solid experience in health sector / reconstruction programs. Organizations that are interested to work in partnership should submit an expression of interest letter along with necessary documents no later than October 8, 2016, 4:00 PM.

Pleaseindicate the area of work (WASH-DRR or Health Infrastructure) in subject line and enclose/attach all relevant background documents (verifying that the organization meets the minimum requirements). Organizations which have expressed interest shall be provided with the relevant guidance on further steps. Only short listed organizations will be contacted and asked to submit a full project proposal.
