District Project Officer/ Civil Engineer (DPO)

SOLVE - Nepal, a National Level non-government organization working for past 27 years in development field having its head office at Dhankuta and contact Office at Kathmandu is recruiting young, energetic, highly motivated candidate for implementing the Nepal Earthquake Response project in two VDCs of Lalitpur District.

Position Based: Lalitpur District

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• District Program Officer/ Civil Engineer will work as the focal point between the Community, SOLVE Nepal and LWF Nepal in lalitpur district in coordination with District Program Coordinator/Executive Director
• Program Officer will be mainly responsible for management and guidance in the area of shelter
• S/he would also assist on all aspects of program implementation including planning
• Quality assurance and control of shelter construction
• Timely submission of monthly, interim and narrative reports
• Coordinate the organization meetings
• District Program Officer/ Civil Engineer will be responsible for managing and controlling line officer and field staff.
• Establish and maintain good relation with staff of government offices, and other agencies working in the program area.

PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED IN THE POSITION

• Bachelors Degree in  Civil Engineering
• Minimum 4 years experience in NGO/INGO or related field
• Ability and willingness to work in team and to work under pressure in remote area
• The position requires good communication skill in Nepali and English, reporting, monitoring, facilitation, coordination and networking skills.
• Good interaction/tackling skill in the community
