Details / requirements:

Working for Access and Creation, Nepal (WAC- Nepal) Achham is Leading Organization in Far Western Development Region of Nepal. WAC Nepal is looking self-motivated, dedicated and a qualified candidate for the post of Child Protection and Child Right Governance Officer to implement the SAHAYATRA project in the partnership with Save the Children.

Eligibility:

  • Bachelor degree and or preferable to Master Degree in Social Science, Development studies, Education and related field with at least 2 years of relevant work experience 
  • At least 3 years working experience in related field. 
  • Willingness to conduct frequent field trips and monitoring activities in rural and remote areas.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in both English and Nepali.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and experience in organizing and facilitating training will be preferred.
  • Good knowledge of computer applications with the ability to produce reports both in Nepali and English.

Competency and Skills:

  • Facilitate different types of Child Right and Child Protection related trainings.
  • Ensure coordination with WCPC, Child Club, Child Club Network, Civil Society Network, Municipality, Rural Municipality, DCFLG , CFLG unit, WCO and DCWB etc. 
  • Regular coaching and monitoring to field staff such as positive parenting, case management process, system strengthening etc. 
  • Support Project Coordinator in planning, implementation and regular monitoring of project activities in the field.
  • Assist Program Coordinator in managing project budget: including phased budgets, quarterly budget forecasting and budget revisions. 
  • Facilitate and organize protection related workshop, orientation and trainings in the district as well as in community level.  
  • Ensure proper and effective use of program resources and project assets are utilized and managed according to organization’s policy and guideline.
  • Conduct field visit to mentor, coach and provide on the spot technical support to field staffs for quality program implementation
  • Conduct networking/advocacy meeting with stakeholders and line agencies within the district. 
  • Play lead role in the documentation of best practices, successful stories and  case studies of the projects
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as per the organization’s rule and regulation
