As we continue to grow, we are seeking a motivated and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead our warehouse operations and ensure the smooth flow of goods from receipt to dispatch.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead a team of warehouse associates, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure they perform at their best.
- Oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and shipping of products.
- Ensure proper handling and accurate documentation of inbound and outbound shipments.
- Collaborate with other departments to plan and coordinate stock movements to meet supplies and customer demands.
- Monitor inventory levels regularly and implement effective inventory control strategies to minimize stockouts and overstock situations.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and periodic physical inventories to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Coordinate with procurement and purchasing teams to replenish inventory as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies to create a secure work environment.
- Conduct regular safety training sessions and enforce safety practices to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Adhere to all relevant legal requirements and industry standards.
- Identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement in warehouse processes and develop strategies to enhance productivity and reduce errors.
- Implement new technologies and best practices to optimize warehouse operations.
- Generate regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs), such as inventory levels, order fulfillment, and shipping accuracy.
- Analyze data and trends to provide insights for making informed decisions and driving continuous improvement.
Candidate requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience as a warehouse supervisor or a similar leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and shipping/receiving procedures.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities to interact with employees, management, and vendors effectively.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and software for data analysis and reporting.
