Compassionate Hands For Nepal (CHFN), a non-governmental organization working with vulnerable girls, women, and families, is pleased to announce vacancies for the following positions.

Project Officer - 1

Contract Types: Annual contract

Report to : Program Manager and Director.

Station : Jugal Sindhupalchowk (100% of project works in the field)

Project Location: Jugal Rural Municipality

 

Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Sociology, Development Studies, Gender Studies, Rural Development, or a related field.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in community development, women’s empowerment, child protection, anti-human trafficking (AHT), safeguarding, or livelihood promotion.

  • Experience working directly with vulnerable girls, women, and families.

  • Proven experience in facilitating trainings, group mobilization, and stakeholder coordination.

  • Experience in project implementation, monitoring, documentation, and reporting.

  • Experience coordinating with local governments, CBOs/MBOs, and community networks.

Key Competencies

  • Strong understanding of women’s rights, gender equality, SGBV, child protection, and AHT issues.

  • Skills in community mobilization, facilitation, and capacity building.

  • Knowledge of psychosocial support and family strengthening approaches.

  • Strong communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to prepare quality reports and maintain project documentation.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team with a high level of integrity and accountability.

 

Core Responsibilities and Tasks

Project Implementation

  • Implement project activities according to approved work plans and targets.

  • Identify, enroll, and support vulnerable girls, women, and families.

  • Facilitate psychosocial councelling, family strengthening, and awareness sessions.

  • Coordinate educational and livelihood support for project participants.

Group Strengthening and Livelihood Promotion

  • Organize and strengthen Transformation Groups (TGs) and community support structures.

  • Facilitate life skills, entrepreneurship, and business planning trainings.

  • Support beneficiaries in accessing income-generation assistance and monitoring business progress.

  • Promote learning, networking, and peer support among groups.

Stakeholder Coordination

  • Coordinate with local governments, line agencies, CBOs/MBOs, and other stakeholders.

  • Support beneficiaries to access social protection services, referrals, and government schemes.

  • Organize coordination meetings, community events, and public accountability activities.

Monitoring and Reporting

  • Conduct regular field visits, home visits, and beneficiary follow-ups.

  • Maintain accurate records, case files, and activity documentation.

  • Prepare timely reports, success stories, and monitoring updates.

  • Support project evaluations, learning reviews, and audits.

Organizational Responsibilities

  • Uphold CHFN’s safeguarding, accountability, and organizational policies.

  • Participate in team meetings, planning, and capacity-building activities.

  • Carry out any other project-related duties assigned by the supervisor.

 

Community Mobilizer- 2

Contract Types: Annual Contract

  • Intermediate (+2) or Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Rural Development, Sociology, Education, or a related field.

  • Minimum 2 year of experience in community mobilization, women’s empowerment, child protection, livelihood, or social development programs.

  • Experience working with vulnerable girls, women, and families.

  • Familiarity with local government systems and community groups.

Key Competencies

  • Understanding of women’s rights, SGBV, child protection, and anti-human trafficking issues.

  • Strong community mobilization and facilitation skills.

  • Good communication, coordination, and relationship-building skills.

  • Basic reporting and documentation skills.

  • Ability to work independently in field-based settings.

  • Commitment to CHFN’s values and safeguarding principles.

Core Responsibilities

  • Mobilize and support vulnerable girls, women, and families to participate in project activities.

  • Facilitate community meetings, awareness sessions, and group activities.

  • Organize and strengthen Transformation Groups (TGs) and community support structures.

  • Conduct regular household visits, follow-up, and beneficiary monitoring.

  • Support livelihood, education, psychosocial, and protection interventions.

  • Facilitate referrals and linkages with local governments, line agencies, and community services.

  • Maintain project records and submit timely activity reports.

  • Assist in monitoring, evaluations, public audits, and project events.

  • Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.
