Nepal Red Cross Society (NRCS), in close collaboration with relevant Rural Municipality (RM) Office, is implementing the 'Sustainable Development for Health, Adaptation and Resilience' (SUDHAR) project. The project comprises institutional development, community health and health systems strengthening (including WASH), disaster risk reduction (DRR) and climate resilience. The overall impact of the project is to improve health status of the population and strengthen community resilience to disasters and climate change, achieved through strong local partnerships, inclusive service delivery, and the adoption of safer behavioral practices.

The project has been being implemented in Kumakh RM of Salyan district, Shivalaya RM of Jajarkot district and Sanibheri RM of Rukum West. For the effective implementation of the project, NRCS Karnali Province Chapter invites applications from suitable and qualified Nepali citizens for the following positions.

01.   Position: Community Mobilizer 

• Project site:   Kumakh Rural Municipality of Salyan district -  Required number:  7 (Seven) persons
• Project site:   Shivalaya Rural Municipality of Jajarkot district -  Required number:  9 (Nine) persons
• Project site:   Sanibheri Rural Municipality of Rukum West district - Required number:  11 (Eleven) persons

 Minimum requirements:

• Completed at least SLC/SEE or equivalent to this, an academic background in health will be considered an added advantage
• Have at least 1 year of work experience in health/WASH/DRR-CCA sector
• Have knowledge on local level health system, WASH and DRR-CCA mechanism
• Have effective communication and facilitation skills
• Having willingness to work in remote areas
• Have basic skill of English language and computer
• Age limit - 18-35 years for men and 18- 40 years for women
• High preference will be given to the local candidate from relevant municipality and wards

Benefit: Approx. Rs. 27,500/- per month

02.   Position: Finance and Admin Assistant

• Project site:                 Shivalaya Rural Municipality of Jajarkot district
• Required number:      1 (One)
• Level:                          4 (Four)

Minimum Requirements:

• SLC/SEE from recognized institution. Account has to be one of the subjects.
• At least 2 years work experience in the field of development program in finance and administrative sector.
• Good understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial policies, procedures, and taxation.
• Good knowledge of computer applications especially MS Office (Word, Excel, Email) & accounting software i.e., TALLY.
• Have effective communication and facilitation skills
• Willingness to work in remote project area.
• Able to communicate in basic English language.
• Age limit - 18-35 years for men and 18-40 years for women

03.   Position: Technical Officer (Civil Engineer)

• Project site:                Surkhet- Province Office
• Required number:      1 (One)
• Level:                          6 (Six)

Minimum Requirements:                                                                                  

• Bachelor in civil engineer (BE) from recognized college/institute.
• At least 3 years work experience on designing, cost estmating and supervision of different types of constructions i.e. health facility buildings, water schemes, Nature Based solutions (NbS) related construction works.
• Have excellent communication/facilitation & motivation skill.
• Ability to communicate and write reports both in English and Nepali languages.
• Having command on using the applications and tools related to detail survey, designing and preparing cost estimation reports
• Having willingness to work in remore project areas
• Age limit - 21-40 years for Men and 21 - 45 years for women

 The above position is contractual initially for six months with possibility of extension.
