Video Development – Wellness Tourism and ICT

1. BACKGROUND

The UK Nepal – Nepal in Business – Growth Advisors (NiB – GA) programme, launched in July 2024, is an initiative funded by UK International Development and implemented by DAI Global UK. NiB - GA aims to unlock economic prosperity in Nepal by fostering the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), creating new jobs, and driving private sector-led economic growth. NiB consists of two main components:  

• Business Support Facility: Provides technical assistance and investment to SMEs to enhance their productivity, competitiveness, and potential for job creation while making them investment ready in the long run. 
• Business Environment Reform Facility: Engages with government stakeholders and private sector associations to reform business regulations, reduce trade barriers, and improve the overall enabling environment for businesses in Nepal.

2. OBJECTIVE OF THE ASSIGNMENT

2.1. VIDEOS ON WELLNESS TOURISM SUB-SECTORS

Wellness tourism in Nepal represents a high potential and emerging tourism segment. With its natural landscapes, historical significance, and healing traditions, Nepal holds immense potential to develop a diverse range of wellness products that can attract international wellness travellers. Nepal is yet to effectively position and market wellness tourism as a wholesome offering to international visitors. 

To achieve this, NiB-GA (in collaboration with individual BSOs) would like to develop high-quality promotional videos representing Nepal’s wellness segment among the international travellers. These videos will be used as promotional tools to attract potential tourists to experience wellness services in Nepal. These videos will also be used in the campaigns for Wellness Year 2027. 

In the wellness tourism sector, we are looking for one or more vendors to produce five videos within the spectrum of wellness tourism. 

Each of these videos will specifically be about the following topics:

1. Yoga and Meditation
2. Spa and Massage Services
3. Ayurvedic Clinics
4. Spiritual and Healing
5. Aarogya Cuisine

2.2. VIDEOS ON INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY (ICT) TOPICS

Nepal’s ICT sector is rapidly expanding alongside the growth of the digital economy. With a talented workforce, a vibrant startup ecosystem, and increasing technological innovation, the country holds significant potential to develop a diverse range of IT products and services for global markets. However, Nepal has yet to fully position and promote its ICT sector as an attractive, investment-ready destination on the international stage.

To address this opportunity, NiB-GA and NAS-IT seek to develop high-quality promotional videos that showcase the strengths, achievements, and future potential of Nepal’s ICT sector. These videos will serve as strategic marketing tools to enhance the sector’s visibility, attract investment, and position Nepal as a competitive player in the global technology landscape.

In the ICT sector, we are looking for one or more vendors to produce two videos within the spectrum of ICT sector.

Each of these videos will specifically be about the following topics:

1. Policy Milestones for Nepal’s IT Sector
2. Nepal IT: Infrastructure, Talent and Connectivity

PROPOSAL SUBMISSION

WORKING AND REPORTING ARRANGEMENTS

The service provider will work under the supervision of Communications and Knowledge Management Officer at Nepal in Business-Growth Advisors.
