New Dimension Engineering Service based in Kathmandu, Nepal is looking for a self-motivated, enthusiastic, and practical thinking structural engineer with good communication skills to join the company. The candidate shall demonstrate significant interest in maintaining the safety and structural integrity of buildings and other structures, as well as an analytical nature, consistency, commercial awareness, and excellent interpersonal abilities. 

Qualification and Experience:

• Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering or related field with at least 2 years’ experience OR Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering with more than 5 years’ experience in structural design, assessment and implementation works.
• Good Understanding of National Building Codes & Indian Codes
• Must have commanding knowledge on ETABS, STAAD Pro, SAP 2000 and other structural software. Knowledge in CSI Bridge would be an added advantage.
• Should be able to perform structural analysis and design of Buildings (Residential, Commercial, Apartments and Administrative), Truss Structures, Bridges and other structures. Knowledge in retrofitting works would be an added advantage.
• Good knowledge of construction techniques and regulations.  
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assisting other members of the company with various elements of structural design and with CAD drawings
• Preparing detailed reports covering design and above inspections.
• Verify, analyze and inspect all work performed by contractors to confirm the structural durability.
• Make the right choices in choosing appropriate construction materials for stable structures. 
• Offer expert advice on secure constructions and designs.
• Communicate with technical experts like architects and engineers.
• Use required computer design technologies for simulation purposes. 
• Follow construction safety guidelines. 
• Allocate budgets and schedule projects.
