SHORT TERM EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES
Coffey International Development (Coffey) is seeking short-term inputs from suitably qualified persons for AusAID’s South Asia Scholarships Program (SASP) in Nepal for the following positions:
• Consultant, Assessment and Ranking
• Consultant, Selection Panel

JOB SPECIFICATION: CONSULTANT, ASSESSMENT & RANKING
• Evaluate written applications, using AusAID’s On-line Australian Scholarships Information System (OASIS), to deliver a ranked list of applicants, suitable for AusAID to determine a short-list of candidates for further consideration
• Provide evaluative comments on each applicant to substantiate rankings
• Ensure the quality and objectivity of this component of the scholarship assessment process
• Provide a comprehensive process report, including proposals to improve the ranking exercise.
JOB SPECIFICATION: CONSULTANT, SELECTION PANEL
• Participate as a member of an AusAID selection panel
• Provide evaluative comments on candidates to substantiate decisions
• Ensure the quality and objectivity of this component of the scholarship assessment process
• Provide a comprehensive process report, including proposals to improve the interview exercise.
PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS: BOTH POSITIONS
• A tertiary degree, preferably post- graduate, equivalent to an Australian tertiary qualification
• Understanding of the Australian university system
• Experience and understanding of the Bangladeshi education system.
• Experience in assessing applications and candidates against specific criteria
• Experience in developing and maintaining effective working relationships
The assignment for the Consultant, Assessment & Ranking is about 2 weeks in May 2012.
The assignment for the Consultant, Selection Panel is about 2 weeks in June-July 2012.
