Senior Software Developer (Norway)

We are a small startup in Oslo with the goal of making electricity markets work better by harnessing the power of AI.

As a Senior Software Developer at Optimeering, you will take part in architecting systems and services, developing them and help run them reliably on the cloud. You'll work closely with our data scientists to make data science and data engineering easy for them.

•         4+ years of experience in developing backend services, preferably in python
•         experience in designing, developing, and deploying software
•         experience with one or more cloud platforms like AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
•         expertise in SQL and good understanding of one or more NoSQL databases
•         experience with infrastructure automation tools
•         good English communication skills

Please note extensive experience in one or more of the above might cover for the lack of experience in something else.

Your responsibilities will include the following:

•         develop and deploy data processing pipelines while collaborating closely with data scientists
•         develop and deploy APIs for exposing our data and serving our models
•         develop tools and libraries which assist our data scientists and analysts work better with data
•         contribute to enhancing data quality and reliability
•         develop continuous integration and delivery pipelines for our tools and services
•         containerize and deploy services to Kubernetes and cloud services
•         develop health checks, performance monitoring, data quality and integrity monitoring and alerts
•         and possibly more

Please note that we will require the selected candidate to relocate to Oslo, Norway.

Also note that the salary in the listing above is approximated net monthly salary (post-tax) converted to USD. The real contract will have pre-tax salary specified in Norwegian Kroners. We will be offering gross annual salary of 650,000+ NOK per annum. This will be adjusted upwards according to your experience.
