It works with a mission to enable Karnali people to claim and exercise their rights for poverty reduction and improved livelihoods through their organization, research, policy advocacy and judicious resources mobilization. It has been implementing various project/programs with the funding support of different partner organizations.

VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

KIRDARC is an NGO dedicated to up hold the rights of marginalized and excluded communities through its interventions on Human Rights, Democracy and Good Governance with especial focus on building capacities of right holders, duty bearers and civil society contributing to inclusive growth and fair development. It works with a vision of ‘a just and prosperous society’.

KIRDARC has been implementing “Strengthening Affirmative Actions to End Hunger and Amplifying Climate Adaptive Agriculture” and “Equitable actions for under privileged children” in Palata Rural Municipality of Kalikot district in financial support of Mission East. Thus, KIRDARC invites applications from suitable Nepali candidates for the following full time positions:

1.  Senior Project Officer - 1 (based in Palata RM Office, Kalikot)

Key Responsibilities: This position will be overall responsible to implement the project to produce quality results working in close coordination with CSOs, government line agencies and other sector stakeholders. S/he will take lead role of planning, implementing, reporting, documentation of project related documents and guiding the project team. Preferred Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Agriculture Science or relevant discipline with two to four years of experience in related project. The candidate should have excellent coordination, communication and interpersonal skills (team building and teamwork) with key stakeholders at project and district level. 

2.  Project Officer - 1 (based in Palata RM Office, Kalikot)

Key Responsibilities: This position will be responsible to implement the project activities in the project areas by achieving expected results. The position holder should work in close coordination with funding partners, CSOs, government line agencies and other sector stakeholders. S/he will be responsible to lead role for the implementation of the projectat field level with ensuring the quality of the project interventions in line with work plan. Required Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Social science or Rural Development or relevant discipline with two years of experience in related project or development organization. 

3.  Business Development Officer (Micro-Enterprise development) - 1 (based in Palata RM Office, Kalikot)

Key Responsibilities: Business Development Officer (Micro-Enterprise development) will manage a project related to livelihood development through micro-enterprise related interventions in the project area. The position holder should work in close coordination with funding partners, CSOs, government line agencies and other sector stakeholders. S/he will be responsible to lead role for the implementation of the projectat field level with ensuring the quality of the project interventions in line with work plan. Required Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Agriculture Science or in relevant discipline with at least two years of experience in tracking and implementation of development project especially micro-/small enterprise development for sustainable livelihood promotion.

The ideal candidates for all above three positions should have very good skills and knowledge in documentation and reporting in English and Nepali. Excellent computer skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and the candidate should have pro-active, innovative, willingness and committed to stay and travel in the remote areas to work with poor and vulnerable communities. The candidates must demonstrate excellent leadership, team management, result based management skills with proven experience of working in participatory community development approaches.
