Senior Field Manager

Nepali Technical Assistance Group (NTAG) as a partner to the Nutrition Innovation Lab in collaboration with Johns Hopkins University (JHU) seeks to recruit for the following positions:
Job Title: Senior Field Manager (One)
Provide technical and management support to Nutrition Innovation Lab field activities as a full-time member of the research team based in Kathmandu with frequent travel (40-50%) to field sites.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Coordinating day-to-day field operations
- Overseeing VDC Field Supervisors in the field
- Form an integral part of the data collection training team
- Provide status reports on field operations
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, International Development or other relevant discipline preferred. Bachelor’s degree in public health, international development of other relevant discipline with substantial work experience will also be considered.
- Demonstrated technical depth in at least one of the following areas of public health research, family planning; maternal, child and newborn health; nutrition; tuberculosis.
- Knowledge of research methods and prior experience in supervising survey teams preferred
- Prior experience training interviewers particularly in hemoglobin estimations using Hemocue and anthropometry preferred.
- Excellent communications, time management and interpersonal skills.
- Strong written and spoken English and Nepali required.
- Must be able to work in difficult conditions and meet urgent deadlines.
- Ability to type in Nepali preferred.
