Research and Development Officer
The Manavsewa Ashram is solely a non-profit social organization founded in Makwanpur, Hetauda, on 29 August, 2012, dedicated to making Nepal a 'street people free country' by helping the most vulnerable, impoverished, disabled, homeless, physically weak or mentally or psychologically challenged people who are forced to live miserable lives in the open sky street-banks and public places.

Manavsewa Ashram would like to invite application for the position of Research and Development Officer. Eligible candidates may apply to the post within 30 days from the publication of this notice.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
1. Conduct comprehensive needs assessments to identify the specific challenges and requirements of the people living in the street.
2. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, social workers, and government agencies, to gather research data and insights into the unique circumstances of individuals living on the streets, including resource requirements for sustainable long-term solutions.
3. Stay updated on the latest trends, policies, and best practices related to homelessness, mental health, and poverty alleviation.
4. Analyze data and research findings to inform evidence-based decision-making for program development and improvement.
5. Develop and propose new projects or enhancements to existing programs based on research findings for rescue, rehabilitation, and other resource needs of the organization.
6. Work closely with the department head and coordinators to design and implement innovative initiatives addressing the multifaceted needs of homeless individuals with mental/physical health challenges, facilitating their rescue from the streets and rehabilitation to their families.
7. Establish and maintain partnerships with government agencies, non-profit organizations, and other stakeholders to foster collaboration and resource-sharing.
8. Attend relevant conferences, workshops, and meetings to build a network of professionals and stay informed about developments.
9. Advocate for policy changes and improvements in support systems for the homeless and mentally/physically ill-using research findings.
10. Develop research materials and implement strategies to raise public awareness about the organization's mission and the issues faced by people living on the streets.
11. Research the dependents in the Ashram, try to understand and find out the reasons for the compulsion and situation to become street dependents.
12. Implement monitoring and evaluation mechanisms to assess the impact of programs and projects.
