NEEDS Nepal established in 1999, is a non-for-profit, Non-Government Organization, registered with the Government of Nepal. NEEDS has been implementing Trans boundary river of south Asia (TORSA) project. TROSA is a five-year-long project that aims to reduce poverty and marginalization of vulnerable river basin communities through increased access to, and control over, riverine water resources on which their livelihoods depend in Ganges, Brahmaputra-Meghna and Salween river basins of South Asia. In this context, the major part is to make the community more accessible to water and water resources bringing them together and aware community through testing the Mahakali water river by themselves.

NEEDS Nepal is looking for eligible service provider for the consultancy:

Consultancy: Implementation Status of Gravel Mining Guideline and required change in the changing context in Mahakali River

Job requirement and qualifications: 

• Professional expertise in reporting writing. 
• Good knowledge about policies related to environment conservation and sand and gravel mining. 
• Well known the local context. 
• Previous experience in conducting studies relevant to sand and gravel extraction in Nepal.  
• Ability to work independently and under tight time constraints.
• Local team members for FGD.
• Excellent coordination, time management and communication skills.

Required Documents: 

The interested candidate must submit the following documents; 

• Detail Proposal. 
• 2 Page resume of consultant or team of consultants (of each member).
• One sample of similar works produced and/or published by the lead consultant preferably.
• Nepali Citizenship. 
• Legal documents in terms of private consultant and PAN number in case of individual citizenship).
