Consultant for Baseline Survey
DanChurchAid-DCA is a Danish humanitarian and development organisation that has been working in the country since 2008. DCA works for the poor, vulnerable and socially excluded communities, and strives to create a world without hunger, poverty, and oppression, in which popular and political powers constantly work strongly and actively for a just and sustainable distribution and use of the earth’s resources. In Nepal, DCA’s work focuses on three thematic areas: Build Resilient Communities, Fight Extreme Inequality and Save Lives. Across all the themes, DCA has integrated climate change and gender equality and social inclusion (GESI) as cross-cutting themes. DCA has rolled out its five-year Country Strategy (2022-2026), with some flagship interventions including anticipatory humanitarian action, nature-based solutions to climate change and disaster risk reduction, green enterprises, urban livelihood and climate literacy.
This Terms of Reference (ToR) is developed for qualified consultant for the baseline survey to understand the causes and prevalence of knowledge, attitude and practices (KAP) on Gender Based Violences (GBV) and harassment among the community forest user groups (CFUGs) and their networks, especially with Environmental Human Rights Defenders (EHRDs) in Kailali district and suggest practical legal solutions in the context of climate change adaptation (CCA).
