About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented QA Manager with 5-10 years of hands-on experience in software testing and leadership. In this role, you will lead our QA team, oversee all testing activities, and ensure the highest quality standards for our software products. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with excellent organizational and management skills, a deep understanding of quality assurance processes, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and Mentor the QA Team: Manage a team of QA engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning. Provide mentorship, performance reviews, and career development.
- Define and Implement QA Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive QA strategy, including manual and automated testing, performance testing, and integration testing, aligned with project goals and timelines.
- Establish Quality Standards: Ensure all products meet high-quality standards by defining testing processes, metrics, and best practices. identify and address quality risks.
- Oversee Testing Processes: Coordinate with development, product management, and other teams to define and maintain a robust testing framework, including creating, reviewing, and managing test cases.
- Drive Test Automation: Collaborate with the QA automation team to implement automation strategies, prioritize automation tasks, and improve test coverage.
- Ensure Compliance and Documentation: Ensure QA processes comply with industry standards and best practices. Maintain accurate testing documentation and reporting.
Requirements:
- Experience: 5-10 years of experience in software quality assurance, including at least 3 years in a lead or management role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JIRA, TestRail), familiarity with CI/CD processes, and experience with both manual and automated testing.
- Automation Experience: Strong experience with test automation frameworks and a track record of successfully implementing automation in projects.
- Leadership and Communication: Proven experience managing QA teams, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to analyze and interpret complex information effectively.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with performance testing and load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience in Agile environments.
- Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) or project management (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
