Position Title: Project Coordinator (PC)
Project: Enhancing a Protective Environment for Every Child (EPEEC)
Duty Station: Caritas Nepal Provincial Office Damak (Frequent travel to the Project Location)
Project Location: Gauriganj Rural Municipality, Jhapa District
Reports To: Provincial Manager/Program Manager CN HO
Supervises: Senior Social Mobilizer, Social Mobilizer, and Volunteers
Contract Duration: Initially 1 year (renewable based on performance and project continuation)
1. Job Summary
The Project Coordinator (PC) will be responsible for the overall field-level planning, coordination, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of the project activities in Gauriganj Rural Municipality, Koshi, Jhapa. S/he will ensure the project is implemented effectively in line with Caritas Nepal’s and donor guidelines, with a focus on Child-Friendly Local Governance (CFLG), child protection, community mobilization, and stakeholder engagement. The PC will work closely with the Provincial team, project technical partner, local government, schools, child clubs, community groups, and other stakeholders to achieve project outcomes.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
Education:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Sociology, Development Studies, Education, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Skill and Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in project implementation, preferably in child protection, education, community level engagement.
- Proven experience in working with local government, schools, and community groups.
- Strong understanding of child rights, CFLG, and child protection issues in Nepal.
- Experience in partnership management and coordination with technical partners/NGOs
- Experience in the use of computers and office software (MS Word, Excel, etc.);
- Willingness to work under challenging situation.
Languages: Excellent command of spoken and written English.

- Promotes organizational learning and knowledge-sharing;
Core competency:
- Familiarity with local contexts, customs, and cultures of mix-community is preferred.

- Takes initiatives;
- Acts as a team player and facilitates teamwork
Additional Requirement:
- Valid motorcycle license and driving skills are required.
