The Centre for Mental Health and Counselling – Nepal (CMC-Nepal), a national level NGO, dedicated to promoting mental health and psychosocial wellbeing, is pleased to announce an exciting opportunity and launches a call for applications in its project, called 'Manko Sathi- Child and Adolescent Mental Health Promotion', implemented in Siraha and Dhaunsa from June 2025, funded and supported by CBM Global. This project aims to improve psychosocial wellbeing of children and adolescents, including those with disabilities and out of schools. It therefore seeks candidates for the following positions:
Project Coordinator- 1 full-time position, based in Provincial Office, Janakpurdham with field visits to project locations)
Position Overview:
The project coordinator is responsible to design, plan, implement, monitor and reporting of the project activities and extend coordination and collaboration with local government, provincial government, Organization of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs), NFDN, CBM Global and other concerned stakeholders for the effective implementation of the project. Project Coordinator is expected to provide technical and project management support to the project team members in implementation of project activities at field level.
Duties and responsibilities of the position:
- Collaborate with the project team and assigned line manager to develop plans aligned with the project document, ensuring activities are implemented on time and within set objectives.
- Lead the overall implementation of the project ensuring effectiveness and quality delivery of the project interventions
- Provide training and supervision to the health service providers and teachers as needed
- Mobilize and manage project staff efficiently, ensuring a cohesive and motivated project team
- Support to the team members to address the challenges related to the project implementation that included but not limited to planning, implementation, data/information recording and reporting in close coordination with the program manager
- Ensure that procedures and supporting documents are properly reviewed and approved, budget utilization is regularly tracked and budget is effectively utilized
- Extend coordination and collaboration with local government, provincial government,
- Organization of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs), NFDN, CBM Global and other concerned stakeholders for the effective implementation of the project
- Review evidence-based practices on CAMH through literature review, design to document/ collect data of project intervention in research framework so that project intervention implementation will create evidences for research publication with close supervision of technical director.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Psychology or Counselling Psychology or Organizational Behavior or Social Work or any relevant field from recognized university with least 5 years project management experience in community based mental health and psychosocial support program.
- Having strong competence in project management, leadership, evaluation/ implementation research networking and coordination
- Practical and strong background in supervising project team members in mental health and psychosocial perspective will be advantage for the post.
- Having good comprehension and learning attitude in mental health, preferably in child andadolescent mental health, psychosocial interventions and disability inclusion
- Experience in coordination with multi-stakeholders (GOs/I/NGOs/OPDs) for the effectiveness of implementation of the project activities and its upscaling and sustainability
- Good report writing, documentation and communication skills in both English and Nepali language
- Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-cultural environment and establish harmonious and effective working relationships within and outside the organization
- Willing to be based in Janakpurdham, Madesh Province and travel in the project areas
