Job Summary of Pharmacist

Pharmacist is responsible for the safe dispensing of medications, providing basic patient counseling and supporting daily pharmacy operations. The role ensures proper handling, storage and management of pharmaceutical products while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. The pharmacist also assists customers, manages inventory and supports the pharmacy team, performing duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Supervisor and senior management to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Dispense medicines as per prescriptions.
• Check prescriptions for accuracy and completeness.
• Provide basic instructions and counseling to patients on medication usage.
• Maintain proper storage of drugs (temperature, expiry control).
• Monitor and manage stock/inventory of medicines.
• Keep records of sales, prescriptions and controlled drugs.
• Ensure pharmacy cleanliness and organized.
• Follow legal and ethical pharmacy guidelines.
• Handle billing and customer transactions.
• Coordinate with suppliers for medicine availability.
• Refer patients to doctors when necessary.
• Daily closing of all purchase, sales and accounting activities, including cash and bank transactions to be reconciled with the central finance/accounting department.
• Perform duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Pharmacy Supervisor, General Manager and Senior Management, supporting various functions across Bluemoon Meditech as required.
• Provide assistance and support to the Bluemoon Meditech team across different departments whenever needed.

Education and Experience

Education: Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) from a recognized institution.

Experience: 1–2 years of experience in a retail or community pharmacy.
