Introduction:
Mechanical Transport (MT) department British Gurkhas Pokhara (BGP) is a very busy dept supporting all the transport requirements of the Unit in Pokhara in support of BGN outputs and missions in Nepal. MT department also supports pick up and drop off school children of serving soldiers for their education facilities provided by BGN. MT Bus Escort needs to be highly skilled, focused, and agile to perform their duties up to the British standards in line with the demanding schedules of the dept, with perfection and high calibre.

This position is advertised at 500 hours per year.
Job description:
- Collects and drops the children at designated time at collections points.
- Reports any incidents of misbehaviour by children to the MTO/MT Sgt.
- Ensure School Bus leaves BGP Camp at precisely 0830 hrs to INF and children at 0845hrs, Mon to Sun during term time even if they do not have the full complement of children.
- On completion of the INF and Montessori school day, return to BGP by 1600 hrs.
- Escort to ensure children are escorted from the bus into the school after school activities and vice-versa. The escorts are not to leave the children unattended at any time.
- Escort to ensure that children in the bus have their seat belts fastened at all the times.
- Escort to ensure that only entitled children use the school transport.
What you will be doing:
Responsibilities:
- The safety of children and maintaining an acceptable standard of behaviour from children while they are seated on a services transport.
- Ensure all entitled children are embossed before authorizing the driver to leave the school premises for the return journey.
- The custody and welfare of children in the event of a traffic or other accident.
- The notification of any form of incident involving an embossed child to the MTO/MT Sgt.
- You will be an individual with energy, enthusiasm and experience who will relish the opportunity of working in BGP and thrive in a challenging environment. As the Bus Escort, you will have excellent presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written, English and Nepali having an ability to interact with a wide range of teams in BGP and School.

- Salary 255.60 NPR per hour, yearly working hours – 500hrs (Part Time, Permanent). (Working days as per School days)

Successful candidates must meet the security requirements before they can be appointed. The level of security needed is a Govt of Nepal Police Report for employment in Nepal.
