The Organic Valley Private Limited (hereafter referred as ‘TOV’) was established in 2011 with aim of making a significant difference in the field of organic argo-production and trading. DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION / REQUIREMENTS:

Organic Certification Officer

Job Station: Chhinchu, Surkhet, Karnali Province

Job Description:

• Shall be responsible for documentation of activities of processing facility and maintenance of all records in required formats.

• Provide technical guidance/support to farmers in fields for organic farm activities.

• Shall be responsible for frequent visit to fields for monitoring of organic farm activities and submit report of each visit.

·        Shall be responsible for arranging and attending meetings, workshops and discussion with farmer cooperatives, farmers groups and village business coordinator of intervention areas.

• Shall be responsible in performing collective actions for Organic Certification and international standards.

• Work directly under and as assigned by Operation Director.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Strong organization, communication and coordination skills

• Excellent skill of Documentation and Reporting to concerned department

• Able to work effectively and efficiently under pressure

• Able to accomplish quality work with strict deadlines

• Flexible and able to multitask on several different aspects of the Company.

• two-wheeler license preferred

Education + Experience:

• Minimum Intermediate (+2).  

• At least 2 years experiences in Organic Agriculture related field.

• Experience in Internal Control System (ICS) and Organic Certification.

• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Package.

• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills in English and Nepali.
