Job Description

Node.js is an open source, cross-platform runtime environment for server-side and networking applications. Node.js applications are written in JavaScript, and can be run within the Node.js runtime on OS X, Microsoft Windows and Linux.Node.js provides an event-driven architecture and a non-blocking I/O API that optimizes an application's throughput and scalability. These technologies are commonly used for real-time applications.

AusNepal IT is seeking Node.js Developers ready to make a long term commitment to an excellent career in Nepal. You will work as part of our world class outsourcing team developing desktop and web software applications for international customers. We are looking for developers who enjoy working across technologies and sectors and who have an absolute passion for delivering best of breed technology solutions.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
• Experience with node.js or experience with JavaScript frameworks like JQuery, backbone, ember, Stapes, Iconic, Skel js, reactive coffee etc.
• Experience with CSS3, HTML, JSON, AJAX
• Knowledge of DynamoDB/MongoDB
• Comfortable with object oriented programming methodologies.
• Knowledge of experience in RESTful web services
• Experience working in a team environment, preferably in one driven by a form of agile development
• Independent problem solver and learner
• Deadline-oriented with the ability to prioritize multiple projects.
• Demonstrates creative, technical and analytical skills.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
• You will have the following experience and profile:
• You have strong exposure to frameworks/tools like node.js, jQuery etc and have good understanding across the full client-server stack.
• You will have experience with Agile engineering practices as such as refactoring, TDD, continuous Integration etc.
• You have worked with both UX/UI development/design.
• Troubleshooting experience with advanced HTML5 and CSS3 application development and ability to leverage frameworks like Bootstrap will be added advantage.
• Self-motivated team player and willing to lead and mentor other resources.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple projects/tasks of varying complexities, meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Background in any of the following is a bonus:

• Strong knowledge of MongoDB.
• Any professional programming experience
• Web development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Ajax
• Experience with tools such as UML, Visio, SVN (etc)
