ANNOUNCEMENT OF VACANCY
United Mission to Nepal (UMN) is an international development organisation which aims to enable the poorest people living in poverty to transform their lives, leading towards the fullness of life. As we serve the people of Nepal, multicultural teams of Nepali and volunteer expatriate staff work alongside local organisations in nine districts (four provinces and two hospitals), building partnerships that lead to healthy, dignified, and empowered individuals and transformed communities.
Position: MEAL Coordinator

Locations: Lumbini Province Cluster & Sudurpashchim Province Cluster
The main purpose of this position is to establish and implement effective MEAL systems and build the capacity of UMN and its local partner organisations in the province to achieve UMN’s strategic objectives.
Qualifications and Experiences:
- Master’s degree in Development Studies, Statistics or a related field, with a minimum of three years’ work experience, particularly in development organisations, including I/Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Statistics or a related field, with a minimum of five years’ work experience, particularly with development organisations, including I/NGOs
- Significant experience in Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) systems, including participatory M&E concepts, methods and tools
- Advanced proficiency in Excel for data analysis, database development and management
- Advanced-level skills in using qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis soLware and tools
- Experience in conducting baselines, reviews, research and evaluations, including qualitative data analysis and report writing
- Sound understanding of project result frameworks and indicators, including their development and measurement, along with relevant practical skills
- Strong facilitation skills to engage a range of project participants, including those with little or no formal education, with experience and knowledge in community development
- Fluency in English, with proven ability to write and review evaluation reports
