Snr Data Scientist

Global Digital Nepal, established in mid of 2013, a part of one of the biggest Scandinavian media and web Development Company Group is looking for a top notch Data Scientist who can work in AWS server, AI(Artificial Intelligence) and ML(Machine Learning) Platform.  You should have strong understanding and experience on services like AWS Lake Formation, SageMaker, Machine Learning, Athena Framework, Elasticsearch, and very good English communication skills. The candidate must have following abilities:

• Hands on experience in databases and cloud systems
• Experience with data visualisation tools, such as D3.js, GGplot, etc.
• Sound knowledge of Object Oriented Programming, PostGre SQL and MySQL.
• Experience with NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB, Cassandra, HBase
• Excellent understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms, such as k-NN, Naive Bayes, SVM, Decision Forests, etc.
• Hands on experience on AWS services like AWS Lake Formation, SageMaker, Machine Learning, Athena Framework
• Working knowledge on Python or Ruby on Rails and known DevOps tools like Git and GitHub
• Good exposure working on AWS server
• Experience with common data science toolkits, such as R, Weka, NumPy, MatLab, etc. Excellence in at least one of these is highly desirable

Responsibilities

• Selecting features, building and optimizing classifiers using machine learning techniques
• Data mining using state-of-the-art methods
• Extending company’s data with third party sources of information when needed
• Enhancing data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systems
• Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis
• Doing ad-hoc analysis and presenting results in a clear manner
• Creating automated anomaly detection systems and constant tracking of its performance
