Excellent Opportunity for Young Women 

World Academy for the Future of Women (WAFW) is a bold and daring leadership program focused on developing young women for leadership roles that will address and achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Eligibility for the program:

To participate in WAFW program:

  • applicants must be 18-25 years old,
  • unmarried,
  • complete an application, and
  • be interviewed.

Selected applicants will become participants of the program by signing an agreement and agree to fulfill the responsibilities with high commitments.

THERE IS NO FEE FOR WAFW PROGRAM; FULL PARTICIPATION IS MANDATORY.

Requirements include weekly attendance in:

  • Two 2-hour seminars to learn leadership content;
  • One 1 ½ hour lab to take the content to action;
  • One 1-hour coaching session to interact together with clarity of the skills, feedback on implementation, and strategies for acceleration;
  • One 1 ½ hour open forum to invite others to learn about WAFW and hear a presentation about leadership, world issues, social justice, gender equality or human rights.

In addition, each participant will become a member of a WAFW Project Team and participate in a WAFW project that addresses one or more of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, or they will create a new project and form a project team. WAFW members agree to live by the WAFW Oath and follow the WAFW Principles. Members unable to be their word and keep their agreement must withdraw from WAFW and give the opportunity to another person committee to accelerating leadership worldwide.

WAFW curriculum covers

  • Covers 32 weeks
  • Four-week modules in each semester, led by international WAFW Facilitators

Each module has a specific focus including

  • Being A Leader
  • Knowing Yourself as a Leader
  • Capacity and Team Building
  • Resolving Conflicts
  • Project Planning
  • Powerful Presentation, and more.
