Data Specialist

A Data Specialist will be responsible for researching data sources to verify validity of information, perform extracting, importing, and exporting of data from various data sources like Amazon, Google, SalesForce, etc. 

TITLE: Data Specialist

REQUIREMENTS:

• Excellent communication skills in English and Nepali
• Experience with data entry and data research, or minimum 1 year of experience with spreadsheet tools
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
• Should be able to Back Track issues and data
• Skills in SQL, Excel Macros, Python, Scraper would be preferred
• Knowledge in Canonical, SEO related tasks, BI and Redshift Database
• Technical expertise regarding Data Entry and Research practice and process a plus
• Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Use Google Analytics, Google AdWords, Amazon Reporting tools to gain additional insight into a client’s e-commerce business and define areas of opportunity and conduct market research and collaborate with team members to stay up to date on search engine marketing (SEM) trends, Amazon trends, and industry changes.
• Collaborate with engineering and business team to understand data and reporting needs, discuss the technical feasibility of the reporting needs, and to formulate data delivery plans and timelines.
• Develop different types of reports (table, charts, graphs) using BI tools and perform quality checks of reports to ensure quality delivery
• Develop and schedule timeline for frequency-based tasks, i.e. daily, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly cadences, etc. - Formulate and develop efficient workflow and make changes to workflow as necessary. Assist and perform tasks as required.
• Complete assigned projects and initiatives in a timely and efficient manner.
• Export data (in CSV format) from different data sources (Amazon, Ahrefs, Bing Ads, Google Adwords, Screaming Frog, Salesforce) on a regular basis.
• Understand various templates for tasks and work on completed template for various tasks on a daily, weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly basis
• Work on Amazon Ad Reports, Google Adwords Report and Latency Report
• Research on New Clients, Industry Vertical Enrichment Projects and Lead Generation
• Verify that the date range for which the data is pulled is correct and verify the data if required
• Provide database support and write SQL queries, and create reports in collaboration with other systems engineers and software developers.
• Communicate proactively and effectively with team members, leads, management, and clients where necessary
• Assist in creating a friendly, entrepreneurial and A+ corporate culture in Nepal

EDUCATION: Bachelor in Computer Science, Information Management with Mathematics, Economics or Statistics.

EXPERIENCE: Prior one- year experience in a relevant field would be preferred and favorable
