About The Job

Our commercial firm is seeking a highly experienced, self-sufficient Project Producer with a problem solving spirit that can step in and handle multiple interior and Architectural projects today. Projects are numerous, including hotels, resorts and corporate offices. The pace is brisk; the scope includes all phases from Field Verification to Space Design to Construction Drawings to Construction Administration. You will train under a senior Project Manager while learning our production system, culture, and clients with the goal being for you to produce client projects from start to finish as efficiently and accurately as possible. We are known to design neat contemporary elegant design.

ARCHITECTURAL DESIGNER

POSITION OVERVIEW

Performs and completes work on defined segments of a project, after initial and periodic interaction with assigned supervisor and organizes own work efforts within that framework. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Exhibits through understanding of design philosophy of projects and provides input in developing a design strategy relative to assigned task or area or responsibility.
• Seeks creative and innovative solutions to assigned tasks and develops associated research and documentation for these solutions.
• Contributes to team effort through the spirit of cooperation.
• Demonstrates detailed knowledge of local office standards, policies and procedures.
• Contributes to detailed preparation of design and construction documents during all project phases.
• Checks, coordinates and integrates work with other project team members.
• Performs material and building systems research and participates in the coordination and preparation of project specifications.
• Reviews shop drawings and samples under periodic direction of an assigned supervisor.
• Develops responses to contractor questions, inquiries, RFI’s etc. under periodic direction of an assigned supervisor.
• Prepares punch-lists and field observation reports under periodic supervision of an assigned supervisor.
• Provides major input and management of project document control tasks.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor degree or equivalent in Architecture, Interior Design or related fields. 
• Minimum 2 years of experience in related field.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit.
• Hand sketching ability highly valued.
• Strong 3-D computer rendering skills (Sketchup, 3-D Max, VRay).
• Capable skills with presentation software such as In Design/Photoshop /Illustrator.
• Comfortable communicating design concepts and processes.
• Graphic capabilities highly valued.
• Ability to multitask numerous projects in various design and construction phases-organizational skills.
