Aasaman Nepal, in partnership with Karl Kübel stiftung für Kind und Familie (KKS) and in financial support of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), is implementing the "Promotion of gender-inclusive education and living conditions for marginalized children and families in the communities of Kamala and Aurahi, Dhanusha, Nepal" which contributes to ensuring an inclusive and child-welfare-oriented learning and living environment in the communities of Kamala and Aurahi, where children can grow up protected and with high-quality education.

Aasaman Nepal is looking for self-motivated, result-oriented, and hard-working Nepali citizens for the following positions:

1. Project Manager (Dhanusha Based)-Nos. 1

The position is based on the Dhanusha district with frequent field visit. The position directly reports to Program Director.   

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure coordinated, timely, and high-quality implementation of the program. 
• Maintain close coordination with relevant state actors at: 
  • Provincial level 
  • District level 
  • Palika/local government level 
• Support project teams in implementing all activities in accordance with the approved annual and detailed implementation plans. 
• Monitor the overall progress and performance of the program through: 
  • Regular monitoring visits 
  • Field visits 
  • Review of implementation progress 
• Provide professional guidance, technical support, and mentoring to project staff. 
• Strengthening the knowledge, skills, and capacity of employees through coaching and continuous support. 
• Promote constructive internal coordination and teamwork among project staff and relevant departments. 
• Lead and support the preparation, compilation, and timely submission of project reports. 
• Support learning, documentation, knowledge management, and evaluation processes. 
• Represent the organization externally in relevant networks, coordination platforms, meetings, and forums. 
• Maintain a high level of integrity, professionalism, communication, and accountability in project management. 
• Contribute to innovation and continuous improvement in project implementation. 
• Promote transparency and accountability throughout project activities. 
• Ensure the sustainable effectiveness and quality of project interventions. 
• Facilitate effective coordination and communication among stakeholders to achieve project objectives

Qualifications and experience: 

• Bachelor’s degree in education, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or related field (master’s preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in project implementation or field coordination.
• Experience supervising teams and working in a decentralized or field context.
• Familiarity with project cycle management, donor compliance, and results-based reporting.
• Strong leadership and field coordination capabilities
• Excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Strong interpersonal, facilitation, and team-building abilities
• Knowledge of participatory approaches and inclusive programming
• Effective communication in Nepali and English (local language proficiency is a plus)
• Proficiency in MS Office, mobile data collection tools, and field-level reporting systems
• Cultural sensitivity and adaptability to diverse contexts
• Strong commitment to safeguarding and equity

Languages: Fluent in Nepali, English, and the local language is preferred or required.

2. Education Specialist (Dhanusha Based)-Nos. 1

The position is based on the Dhanusha district with frequent field visit. The position directly reports to Project manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the implementation of educational initiatives in assigned schools. 
• Work closely with the Education Development and Coordination Unit, Local Education Unit and relevant Basic Education Offices to ensure effective program implementation. 
• Conduct and facilitate:
  • Teacher training, meeting and interaction sessions 
  • Mapping Out of school children, tracking attendance and Student assessments
  • Facilitate to accelerate learning program and remedial class 
  • Develop education policy, plan and guidelines 
  • In-class coaching, mentoring and Life skills sessions 
• Implement operational plans in collaboration with: 
  • Local governments/Palikas 
  • Schools 
  • Children’s clubs 
  • Community stakeholders 
• Initiate, establish, and support children’s clubs, parent groups, and girls’ groups. 
• Conduct awareness-raising activities on: 
  • Children’s rights 
  • Child protection 
  • Education-related issues 
• Design and facilitate workshops and training sessions for teachers, children, parents, and community representatives on: 
  • Inclusive teaching and learning practices 
  • Classroom management 
  • School development 
  • Child participation 
  • Child protection mechanisms 
• Maintain close coordination and collaboration with: 
  • Local authorities 
  • Schools 
  • Education networks 
  • Civil society organizations 
  • Other relevant stakeholders 
• Participate in relevant community- and district-level meetings, coordination forums, and events. 
• Facilitate sharing of experiences, good practices, challenges, and lessons learned among relevant stakeholders. 
• Conduct regular field visits to monitor activities and ensure the quality of implementation of the program. 
• Provide technical and operational guidance to schools, teachers, children, and community stakeholders as required. 
• Monitor and follow up on the progress and quality of educational interventions at assigned schools. 
• Prepare and submit periodic reports and required documentation within specified deadlines. 
• Maintain proper records and documentation of training, assessments, field visits, and other project activities. 
• Provide additional technical, substantive, and operational support for program implementation as required. 
• Contribute to the achievement of project objectives, quality improvement, learning, and sustainability of educational interventions.

Qualifications and experience: 

• Bachelor’s degree in education, or a related field; master’s degree preferred. 
• At least 2–3 years of relevant experience in education programs, teacher training, child-focused projects, or community development. 
• Experience working with schools, teachers, children, parents, and local governments. 
• Good knowledge of inclusive education, child protection, child participation, and life skills education. 
• Strong training, facilitation, communication, and coordination skills. 
• Ability to prepare action plans, reports, training materials, and other project documents. 
• Good understanding of the local education system and community context. 
• Proficiency in Nepali and relevant local languages; English communication skills preferred. 
• Willingness to travel frequently and conduct field visits to project locations. 
• Strong teamwork, problem-solving, interpersonal, and organizational skills. 
• Commitment to child rights, inclusion, gender equality, safeguarding, and community participation. Proficiency in MS Office, mobile data collection tools, and field-level reporting systems
• Cultural sensitivity and adaptability to diverse contexts
• Strong commitment to safeguarding and equity

3. Community Affair Specialist (Dhanusha Based)-Nos. 1

The position is based on the Dhanusha district with frequent field visit. The position directly reports to Program Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Guide, supervise, support, and mobilize Community Mobilizers and Volunteers for effective implementation of project activities. 
• Ensure effective implementation of project activities at school and community levels. 
• Develop monthly, quarterly, and annual action plans in line with project objectives and implementation plans. 
• Regularly monitor and track the progress of planned activities. 
• Ensure that field-level activities are implemented: 
  • On time 
  • According to approved plans 
  • With required quality standards 
• Establish and maintain close coordination and collaboration with: 
  • Schools 
  • School Management Committees (SMCs) 
  • Parent-Teacher Associations (PTAs) 
  • Local governments/Palikas 
  • Community structures 
  • Relevant organizations and stakeholders 
• Support and facilitate community/resource mobilization and participation in project activities. 
• Provide regular technical guidance, mentoring, and operational support to Community Mobilizers and Volunteers. 
• Monitor field activities and provide constructive feedback and recommendations for improvement. 
• Ensure all project activities are implemented in accordance with Aasaman Nepal’s core values, policies, principles, and Code of Conduct. 
• Ensure compliance with safeguarding and child protection standards in all project activities and work processes. 
• Promote a safe, inclusive, respectful, and protective environment for children and adults. 
• Maintain effective communication and coordination with project staff and relevant stakeholders. 
• Support the documentation and reporting of community-level activities, progress, challenges, and achievements. 
• Identify implementation challenges and support the development of appropriate solutions and follow-up actions.

• Perform additional substantive and operational responsibilities as assigned by the direct supervisor.

Qualifications and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, Development Studies, Sociology, Rural Development, or a related field; master’s degree preferred. 
• At least 2–3 years of relevant experience in community mobilization, community development, or similar roles, preferably with NGOs/INGOs. 
• Experience working with local communities, schools, local governments, and community groups. 
• Good understanding of community engagement, social inclusion, child rights, and safeguarding. 
• Strong communication, facilitation, coordination, and interpersonal skills. 
• Ability to mobilize and motivate community members and build strong relationships with stakeholders. 
• Good skills in planning, monitoring, documentation, and reporting. 
• Ability to communicate effectively in Nepali and relevant local languages; basic English skills preferred. 
• Willingness to travel frequently and work in remote field locations. 
• Ability to work effectively in a team and multicultural/community-based environment. 
• Commitment to inclusion, equity, accountability, child protection, and community empowerment.

4. Community Mobilizer (Aurahi and Kamala of Dhanusha Based)-Nos. 6 (Priority for Female)

The position is based on the Working Municipalities/palikas of Dhanusha district. The position directly reports to Program Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the implementation of project activities at school and community levels. 
• Maintain regular coordination and communication with schools, communities, local authorities, and relevant stakeholders. 
• Provide field-level support for the effective implementation of project activities. 
• Collect, maintain, and report accurate and timely project-related data. 
• Introduce the organization, project objectives, and implementation approach to community members and stakeholders. 
• Identify and document local challenges, needs, and issues affecting project implementation. 
• Facilitate community meetings, discussions, consultations, and awareness activities to strengthen: 
  • Community participation 
  • Local ownership 
  • Engagement and accountability 
• Conduct regular field visits to project areas to monitor the progress of activities. 
• Monitor the quality, effectiveness, and sustainability of project interventions. 
• Identify implementation gaps and provide feedback and recommendations for improvement. 
• Represent the project and organization at the community/field level in a professional manner. 
• Establish and maintain close working relationships with:

• Maintain regular communication with the Community Affair Specialist, supervisor, and project team regarding progress, challenges, and achievements. 
• Support the documentation and reporting of field activities, including key achievements, challenges, and lessons learned. 
• Promote community ownership, participation, inclusion, and sustainability throughout project implementation. 
• Ensure project activities are implemented in accordance with organizational policies, principles, safeguarding standards, and project requirements. 
• Provide timely feedback from communities and schools to support evidence-based decision-making and program improvement. 
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor to meet organizational and project requirements.

Qualifications and experience:

• Minimum 10+2 (Intermediate) level education; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• At least 1–2 years of experience in community outreach or mobilization roles with NGOs, local organizations, or development projects.
• Prior experience working with women, children, youth, or marginalized communities is preferred.
• Strong verbal communication and facilitation skills in local languages.
• Understanding of local cultural dynamics, social structures, and community practices.
• Commitment to inclusion, equity, and community empowerment.
• Respectful, approachable, and energetic personality with the ability to build trust.
• Willingness to travel frequently and stay in remote field areas as needed.
• Basic documentation and reporting skills (writing or verbal reporting)

Languages: Fluent in Nepali, English, and the local language is preferred or required.
